Salvador Dalí (1904–1989), Marquis of Dalí de Púbol, was a Spanish painter, sculptor, engraver, screenwriter, and writer. He is considered one of the leading figures of Surrealism and one of the most celebrated painters of the 20th century.
Salvador Dalí and Luis Buñuel wrote the screenplay for Buñuel's film "Un Chien Andalou", which was shown at the Cinéma des Ursulines in Paris alongside Man Ray's film "Les Mystères du Château de Dé".
